We apologize in advance if you receive multiple copies of this CFP. ******************************************************************************** ================================================================================ AlKindi 2011 ================================================================================ AlKindi Student Workshop on Cryptology (AlKindi 2011) December 11, 2011 Yas Hotel, Abu Dhabi, UAE http://events.kustar.ac.ae/alkindi -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overview: The 2011 AlKindi Student Workshop on Cryptology aims at providing a forum for both undergraduate and graduate students to present their research work in the area of cryptology. Students will have a chance to interact with other young researches and renowned figures and experts in the field. In addition to students’ presentation, the workshop will include two tutorials. The workshop is held in recognition of Abu Yusuf AlKindi, an Arab and Islamic philosopher (801-873), for his prominent contributions in the field of cryptology. The workshop will run in conjunction with the 6th International Conference for Internet Technology and Secured Transactions (IEEE ICITST-2011). The workshop is technically sponsored by the IEEE UAE Computer Society Chapter, the IEEE UAE Communication and Signal Processing Chapter, and the British Computer Society. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scope: The conference seeks original contributions in any area of cryptology or related fields. Topics include but not limited to: 1) Cryptographic protocols 2) Fast Cryptographic Algorithms 3) Foundations of Cryptography 4) Secret Key and Public Key Cryptosystems 5) Implementation of Cryptosystems 6) Hash Functions and MACs 7) Block Cipher Modes of Operation 8) Intellectual Property Protection 9) Applied Cryptography 10) Quantum cryptography 11) Elliptic curve Cryptography 12) Digital signature schemes 13) Secret sharing 14) Key management protocols 15) Number Theory -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Submission: Papers must be submitted electronically in PDF format to EDAS. Prospective authors are invited to submit papers based on their original work not exceeding 6 pages in length using the format provided on the IEEE ICITST-2011 conference website. We also encourage submissions of proposals for tutorials. Details on the submission procedure are available on the website: http://events.kustar.ac.ae/alkindi All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed. All accepted papers will appear in the proceedings published by IEEE and fully indexed by IEEE Xplore and DBLP. Best paper will be recognized at the main conference.
