At the occasion of the 2nd International Conference on Pervasive Computing, Signal
Processing and Applications (PCSPA 2011) and the 6th edition of Gjøvik Color Imaging Symposium (GCIS 2011), which will take place at Gjøvik University College in Gjøvik, Norway, on September 5‐7 and 8‐9, 2011, respectively, we hereby announce and call for papers to a joint special session on the interdisciplinary topic of color imaging. Contributions are solicited within all areas of color imaging, but with particular emphasis on the following topics: * Color, image, and video quality * Cross media color reproduction * Color and multispectral image processing * Color in mobile/handheld devices Papers must be unpublished and should not be under simultaneous review for any other conferences or workshops; written in English and formatted according to the double column IEEE format(http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html). Research papers should be 4 pages long including references and illustrations (with at most 2 extra pages bought by an additional fee). Position papers and system demonstrations are also welcome. All papers should be submitted electronically, before May 20, 2011, via the online paper submission system, which is located at http://www.pcspa2011.com/submission.html. The format of both the initial submissions and the final accepted papers must be in PDF. All papers will be peer‐reviewed by members of the PCSPA 2011 program committee and selected reviewers. Acceptance will be based on originality, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. Accepted papers with paid registration will be included in the Proceedings of PCSPA2010, IEEE Xplore digital library and are EI and ISTP indexed.
