################# MobileHCI2011 Workshop - Stockholm ################# 1st International Workshop on Mobile Work Efficiency: Enhancing Workflows with Mobile Devices @MobileHCI2011, August 30th, Stockholm, Sweden http://workshops.icts.sbg.ac.at/mobilehci2011/ ------------------------------------------- Important Dates: - Submission: 30th April, 2011 (EXTENDED) - Notification: 15th May, 2011 - Camera-ready: 1st June, 2011 - Workshop: 30th August, 2011 ------------------------------------------- Workshop Scope: This workshop will be a forum of multi-disciplinary discussion on how mobile devices can increase perceived work efficiency, as well as how this subjective enhancement can be measured. ------------------------------------------- Submissions are invited on the following topics: * Research on how mobile devices can increase perceived work efficiency * Contextual analysis, evaluation methods and tools how to measure perceived work efficiency with mobile devices * Persuasive strategies of how to foster perceived work efficiency * Future mobile devices (e.g. wearable displays) and interaction approaches to enhance perceived work efficiency * Creating a common understanding and perspective of the challenges related to perceived work efficiency and mobile devices in various contexts (e.g. office, factory) * Propose perspectives on how to address these challenges in future research and development of interactive systems ------------------------------------------- The one-day workshop will include presentation of each participant’s contribution, break-out sessions on specific sub-topics, and concludes with a group discussion. We will select participants with academic and industrial backgrounds based upon the relevance, insightfulness, and originality of their submissions by a peer reviewing process. Submissions are expected in the form of position papers (Mobile HCI Extended Abstracts format, max 4 pages), describing the area of research, specific work (empirical or theoretical) on the workshop topic, and the innovative character of their research. ------------------------------------------- Submissions can be made by email to mobilehci2011@hciunit.org At least one author of accepted papers needs to register for the workshop and for one day of the conference itself.
