Attracting attendees from all aspects of the advanced wireless value chain, SDR’11 is the ideal place to network and make an impact on the reconfigurable radio community. Submit your proposal now and be a part of the only event devoted to the advancement of reconfigurable radio technologies, including Software Defined Radio (SDR), Cognitive Radio (CR) and Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA) technologies, from research through deployment.
The Wireless Innovation Forum (SDR Forum Version 2.0) is soliciting abstracts and proposals for five tracks: Research and Development (R&D) (Paper required) This track will focus on advanced research and development in software defined radio (SDR), cognitive radio (CR) and dynamic spectrum access technologies. Papers are required in this track and selection will be competitive, based on intensive peer review. Top papers in this track will be eligible for placement in the Springer Journal of Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing (AISCP) . Design, Manufacture and Deployment (DMD) (Paper optional) This track will provide a perspective on the current “state of the art” in reconfigurable radio technologies and the development and deployment of these technologies, including commercialization trends and near term technology innovations. Papers in this track are optional, but highly encouraged. Selection will be competitive based on review of presentation outline and the available number of speaking slots. Regulation and Public Policy (paper optional) This track will provide live new and innovative products and technologies relevant in the research, design, manufacture and deployment of reconfigurable radio technologies-based systems. Demonstrations will occur in parallel at the Technology Showcase and Welcome Reception held on Tuesday, November 30th. Selection will be competitive based on the available number of speaking slots. Tutorials (Paper optional) This track will provide training in specific topic area relevant to the design, manufacture or deployment of advanced radio technologies. Tutorials are provided in a two hour session, but may be extended upon request. Selection will be competitive based on the available number of speaking slots, with preference given to “hands-on” tutorials where provided. Workshops (Paper optional) Workshops strive to achieve a predefined objective through multiple interactive sessions exploring a specific topic area relevant to research, design, manufacture or deployment of advanced radio technologies. Workshops are provided in two, two hour sessions which may be extended through a conference keynote or plenary panel session. Selection will be competitive based on the topic relevance and the maturity of the proposal. Topics Proposals for each track must include an abstract, the author information, the topic area, and sufficient information to validate the quality and technical depth of the proposal.
