ACM Conference on Supporting Groupwork (Group2014) *Posters and Demos* November 9-12, 2014 Sanibel Island, Florida, USA Submission deadline: August 1, 2014 http://www.acm.org/conferences/group/conferences/group14/ ******************************************************************** We invite researchers to share their late-breaking research with the Group audience in the 2014 Posters and Demo session. Group Posters and Demo session are interactive formats to discuss ongoing work such as PhD research, novel CSCW systems and other work that may benefit from discussing it in its early stages. ************************************************** ACM Conference on Supporting Groupwork (Group2014) ************************************************** For over 25 years, the Group conferences have showcased the work of researchers and practitioners on the design, development, introduction, management, deployment, and analysis of computer-based collaborative systems, as well as explorations to determine the requirements for such systems. A strong emphasis of GROUP conferences is to foster a discourse on collaborative technology that bridges the fields of Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) and Information Systems (IS), Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL), and "Learning at the workplace” (CSCL@Work). Relevant issues include the design, implementation, deployment, evaluation, and impact of these systems as well as examinations of relevant research methodologies. ************************** Posters and Demos at Group ************************** Posters and demos are an opportunity to present late-breaking and preliminary results, smaller results not suitable for a Paper or a Note submission, innovative ideas not yet validated through user studies, student research, and other research best presented in this open format. Demos present implementations of new CSCW systems and concepts. The peer-reviewed demonstrations allow conference participants to view novel and noteworthy CSCW systems in action, discuss the systems with those who created them, and try them out. Posters and demos will be displayed during a special session at the conference when poster and demo authors will be available to discuss their work. In addition, the audience will vote on the TOP 3 posters and/or demos. Accepted poster and demo submissions will be published in the ACM Digital Library. ********** Submission ********** Poster and demo submissions should include an extended abstract no longer than 4 pages, including all figures and references, in the ACM Standard Format (available at: http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates). In addition, submissions should also include a separate Tabloid (11 x 17 inches) sized draft of the poster for review purposes. Both the extended abstract and the poster draft should include author names (these are not anonymous submissions). Please send submissions directly to the poster and demo co-chairs at: posters@group2014.org. ******************* Submission deadline ******************* August 1, 2014 *********************** Posters/Demos Co-Chairs *********************** Aleksandra Sarcevic, Drexel University, USA Michael Prilla, Ruhr University of Bochum, Germany |
