**********************************************
MobiCASE'11 Call for Demos & Posters The 3rd International ICST Conference on Mobile Computing, Applications, and Services Sponsored by ICST and technically co-sponsored by IEEE Computer Society October 24-27, 2011 in Los Angeles, CA http://mobicase.org/ ********************************************** MobiCASE 2011 provides opportunities to researchers and practitioners from both the academia and industry to present and discuss their work on mobile applications and service provisioning. Call for Demos ==================== MobiCASE seeks proposals for live demonstrations that serve to disseminate advanced technologies in mobile computing applications and services. Demonstrations will be selected on the basis of technical merit, novelty, relevance to the mobile computing community, and feasibility of the presentation. We particularly encourage demonstrations that allow participation by conference attendees. The demo session aims to showcase research prototypes at all stages of maturity, and as such we welcome demonstrations of both published and unpublished work. The demo submission should be an extended abstract of up to two pages long, including all figures and references. The abstract should include a description of the demonstration, the equipment to be used, any special requirements beyond a table/booth with power outlets, as well as possible interactions (interoperability or interference) with other demonstrations. We will try to accommodate reasonable requirements, however such accommodations will be limited and all demonstrations will be hosted in one large open space. Extended abstracts of accepted demonstrations will be included in the conference proceedings and should appropriately reference previous or accepted publications of the associated work. Submission instructions are available at http://www.mobicase.org/submit_poster_demo.shtml Please contact demosposters_chair@mobicase.org for further information. Call for Posters ==================== MobiCASE seeks posters from researchers in both industry and academia that describe recent and on-going work in mobile applications and service provisioning for mobile users. Posters will be selected on the basis of technical merit, novelty and relevance to the mobile computing community. They will be presented in a special session during the conference to allow presenters to interact with conference attendees and gain feedback on their ongoing work. The poster session will be an excellent venue for highlighting early work on new and controversial mobile applications and end-to-end systems. Proposals for posters should include an extended abstract up to two pages long, including all figures and references. Submissions may include an electronic copy of the poster in addition to the abstract. Extended abstracts of accepted posters will be included in the conference proceedings. Submission instructions are available at http://www.mobicase.org/submit_poster_demo.shtml. Please contact demosposters_chair@mobicase.org for further information. Important Dates ==================== Submissions due: June 12, 2011 (11:59PM PDT) Acceptance notification: July 31, 2011 Camera ready abstracts due August 28, 2011 MobiCASE main conference: October 24-27, 2011 Demo/Poster Chairs ==================== Claudio Palazzi, University of Padua, Italy Giovanni Pau, UCLA, USA To receive updates about MobiCASE2011 Conference, follow us on twitter (mobicase), join the Linkedin group (MobiCASE), or connect with us on Facebook (MobiCASE). |
