34th GI/ITG INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ARCHITECTURE OF COMPUTING SYSTEMS
Virtual Conference June 7 – 10, 2021 https://arcs-conference.org/ CALL FOR PAPERS THIS YEAR’S FOCUS: A Cambrian Explosion of Novel Computer Architectures? (Source: J.L. Hennessy and D.A. Patterson: “A New Golden Age for Computer Architecture” in Communications of the ACM 62.2 (2019), pp. 48-60) The ARCS conferences series has over 30 years of tradition reporting leading edge research in computer architecture and operating systems. The focus of the 2021 conference will be on novel computer architectures to overcome the inefficiencies in general-purpose processors. This includes hardware architectures, programming models, runtime environments, cross-sectional topics, and real-world use cases. The proceedings of ARCS 2021 are planned to be published in the Springer Lecture Notes on Computer Science (LNCS) series. The best paper and best presentation award will be presented at the conference. Facing the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, ARCS 2021 will be a virtual conference with live presentations, live Q&A, and up-to-date opportunities for virtual socializing. Important Dates: Abstract registration deadline: March 29, 2021 (final extension) Paper submission deadline: April 5, 2021 (final extension) Notification of acceptance: Mai 10, 2021 Camera-ready papers: Mai 24, 2021 Virtual Conference: June 7 – 10, 2021 Topics of interest on a wide range of HW/SW aspects of “Advanced Computing Architectures” include (but are not limited to): Hardware Architectures * (3D) System-on-chip * Distributed systems * Multi- and many-core architectures * Heterogeneous computing * (Runtime) reconfigurable architectures * Advanced computing architectures * Emerging memory technologies Programming Models and Runtime Environments * Domain-specific languages and programming models * Operating systems, hypervisors, and middleware for homogeneous and heterogeneous multi-/many-core computing platforms * System management including but not limited to scheduling, memory management, power/thermal management, and RTOS Cross-sectional Topics * Adaptive systems (energy aware, self-x technologies) * Pervasive systems * Autonomous systems * Mixed-criticality systems * Organic Computing * Approximate Computing * Support for safety and security Submission guidelines: Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research papers via EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=arcs2021 ARCS 2021 uses a double-blind reviewing system. Manuscripts must not identify authors or their affiliation. When citing own work, it must be done in a neutral form (i.e. avoiding ‘our’, ‘we’, ‘previous work’ etc.). Papers must be submitted in PDF format, formatted according to Springer LNCS style (see: https://www.springer.com/gp/computer-science/lncs/conference-proceedings-guidelines) and must not exceed 15 pages, including references and figures. Organizing Committee: General Chair Christian Hochberger, TU Darmstadt, Germany Program Chairs Thilo Pionteck, Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany Lars Bauer, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany Workshop Chair Carsten Trinitis, TU Munich, Germany Publication Chair Thilo Pionteck, Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany |
