Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
INTETAIN 2011 invites the academic, industrial and government community to submit work in all categories of participation for publication and presentation at the conference. Full papers are the main category to disseminate complete research results. INTETAIN follows the usual international academic standards to evaluate and disseminate full papers.
The conference intends to stimulate interaction among academic researchers and commercial developers of interactive entertainment systems. In addition to paper presentations, poster, and demos, the conference will foster discussion through special events. The conference will be structure in one central track. As in the INTETAIN tradition, besides high quality paper presentations, posters and demos, an interactive hands-on session will be organized, along the lines of the Design Garage held in the conference first edition. Individuals who want to organize special sessions during INTETAIN 2011, may contact the conference organizers (info@intetain.org). The global theme of this 4th edition of the international conference is "Active embodied experience, exploiting expressive, affective, and social behavior". Contributions may, for example, address non-verbal full-body interaction, automated measure of expressive and affective features of human behavior, automated measure of social behavior in entertainment, edutainment, artistic, and cultural applications. Selective best papers of the Intetain 2011 will published as a special issue of the International Journal of Arts and Technology (IJART). Topics of Interest Underlying Interactive Device Technologies (mobile devices, home entertainment centers, haptic devices, multimodal interfaces, wall screen displays, information kiosks, holographic displays, distributed smart sensors, immersive screens and wearable devices), can provide through a variety of Media Delivery Infrastructures (multimedia networks, interactive radio, streaming technologies, DVB-T/M, ITV, P2P, satellite, broadcasting, UMTS, Bluetooth, Broadband, VoIP) a series of user centered Intelligent Computational Technologies and Interactive Applications for Entertainment as described below.
