The Second International Conference on Green & Sustainable Technology is a technical conference for engineers, scientists, researchers and practitioners in engineering, renewable energy technologies, architecture, construction, construction materials, and related fields. This year’s conference will have three tracks: Green Energy, Green Construction, and Green Technology.
Two of today’s major energy and environmental challenges are reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions in the operation of today’s built environment and in the creation of tomorrow’s. The conference will bring together energy professionals to discuss ideas, findings and results, work in progress, and experiences relating to green and sustainable technology in renewable energy and in the design, construction and operation of homes, commercial and industrial buildings, and other structures, including infrastructure. We invite you to submit technical papers presenting research and practical results, position papers addressing specific issues. Topics can be discussed in terms of concepts, state of the art, research, standards, implementations, experiments under way, applications, and industrial case studies. Please submit complete, unpublished papers that are not under review in any other conference or journal. All tracks are open to both research and industry contributions. The conference is organized by the Center for Energy Research & Technology at North Carolina A&T State University. Papers are being solicited for the Peer-Reviewed Technical Sections as well as Poster Sections. The Peer-Reviewed Papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings Technical Sections: • Green Energy Subjects include: Biodiesel; Bioethanol; Biomass; Hydrogen Fuel Cells; Gasification; Smart Grid Technology • Green Construction Subjects include: Energy-Efficient Housing; Maintenance and Building Operation; Materials and Efficiency; Operation and Maintenance Optimization; Reduction of Costs; Reduction of Waste and Pollution; Siting and Landscaping; Sustainable Design • Green Technology Subjects include: Measurement & Verifications (M&V); Use of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement; Use of Recycled Aggregates Concrete; Reuse of Tear-Off Roofing Shingles; Use of Warm-Mix Asphalt Technology; Use of Bio-based Construction Materials; Automated Compaction Device; Automated Crack Mapping; Health Monitoring Key Dates: • Abstract: April 15, 2011 • Acceptance Notification: May 15, 2011 • Draft Paper: August 15, 2011 • Final Paper: September 15, 2011 Formatting and Submission Guidelines: Every submitted paper will receive minimum of two blind reviews organized by the Technical Committee.
