The event is a good opportunity to connect with your peers and also an ideal platform for you to share & learn.

The student event under "EMC Education Summit" is called EMC Technology Day. The key technologies in focus for this ... :

Who Should Attend -
The event is open to all students currently undergoing BE/ME/Btech/Bsc/Msc/MCA program with an EAA/non-EAA Partner colleges from across India.

1) College - Level Quiz Contest

This event is a College-Level Competition to test your skills on Storage, Security, Cloud , Virtualization and Back & Recovery concepts

Rules and Regulations

* A team may consist of 2 members
* No individual can belong to more than one team
* At each stage, a certain number of teams will get eliminated according to a score cut-off decided by the organisers.
* Scores for each round will be carried over to the next round
* Team registrations will be made at the venue
* The last 5 teams will compete in the grand finale on Day 2

2) RSA - Break the Code Challenge

Knowledge of Fundamentals of Crypto, C, C++ and Java desired

* Your effort must be an individual one.
* Contest details would be given only at the venue
* Registrations could be made at the venue

3) Test Your Storage Skills

This event will test your skills of Information Storage & Management - SAN, NAS, BC. DR, Virtualization and Security

* The test could be an online or written test ( objective type )

4) Virtualization Contest

This event will test your skill set on desktop and server virtualization using VMware

5) Project Presentation

We encourage students to showcase their ideas on projects taken up in the areas of Virtualization, Flash technology, Consolidation,Backup and data de-duplication, Security, Cloud Computing, Content Management, Archive & any other recent trends.

Rules and Regulations

* Your effort must be in a team of 1-4 members.
* Please send your project idea abstract to sigbangalore@gmail.com before 25 December 2010

Participants will be judged on:

* Overall knowledge of project topic
* Thoroughness of the content
* Presentation skills

6) Poster Contest

The poster presentation will be on a project or activity of the committee choosing and must contain a title, abstract/intro-duction, body and conclusion. Ideas for poster presentations would be the same as for paper project presentation

Poster material must fit within the display size which is 44 ½” high by 91” wide less a 3” x 6” area in the upper left hand corner that is used for the poster number. Computer display equipment, sound or projection equipment, or free standing displays are not permitted.
