CALL FOR PAPERS
5th International Workshop on Blockchain Security and Scalability (BSS 2026) Co-located with IEEE Blockchain 2026 30 November–4 December 2026 Université Marie et Louis Pasteur, Montbéliard, France Workshop date: 30 November–4 December 2026 web: www.ibss.com ABOUT THE WORKSHOP The 5th International Workshop on Blockchain Security and Scalability (BSS 2026) invites researchers and practitioners from academia, industry and government to submit original research on the foundations, design, implementation and evaluation of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies. Blockchain systems support decentralised coordination across finance, healthcare, logistics, e-government, the Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems and next-generation networks. However, security weaknesses, privacy risks and scalability constraints continue to limit dependable real-world adoption. BSS 2026 provides a focused forum for research that addresses these challenges. The workshop welcomes theoretical work, system designs, empirical studies, reproducible evaluations, datasets, testbeds, case studies and critical analyses of deployed systems. Authors should state their threat models, assumptions, limitations and practical implications clearly. TOPICS OF INTEREST Topics include, but are not limited to: • Theories of blockchain and distributed ledger technology • New and modular blockchain architectures • Distributed consensus and fault-tolerance mechanisms • Blockchain security, privacy, trust and reputation • Attacks, vulnerabilities, fraud and forensic analysis • Scalability, performance optimisation, sharding and rollups • Cross-chain, bridge and off-chain technologies • Simulation, benchmarking and performance evaluation • Secure smart contracts, chain code, testing and verification • Authentication, authorisation and decentralised identity • Blockchain for artificial intelligence, IoT, cyber-physical systems, edge and cloud computing • Applications in healthcare, logistics, finance, e-government and Industry 4.0 IMPORTANT DATES Paper submission: 20 September 2026 Author notification: 15 October 2026 Camera-ready submission: 22 October 2026 Conference dates: 30 November–4 December 2026 SUBMISSION LINK https://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=35179&track=139226 PARTICIPATE AS A REVIEWER Researchers interested in joining the Programme Committee as reviewers should contact: muhammadajmal.azad@bcu.ac.uk We look forward to receiving your submissions and welcoming you to BSS 2026 in Montbéliard, France. |
