22nd International Conference on Computer Applications in Industry and Engineering November 4-6, 2009, Hilton San Francisco Fisherman?s Wharf, San Francisco, California USA Sponsored by the International Society for Computers and Their Applications (ISCA). The International Conference on Computer Applications in Industry and Engineering (CAINE-09) provides an international forum for presentation and discussion of research on computers and their applications. The conference also includes a Best Paper Award given for a paper presented at the conference. The CAINE-09 conference will feature contributed as well as invited papers concerned with practice and applications. Papers will be accepted into chaired presentation sessions. The topics will include, but are not limited to, the following areas: Agent-Based Systems Emergent Intelligence Autonomous Systems Energy Systems Bioinformatics Image/Signal Processing Biomedical Systems/Engineering Information Assurance Computer-Aided Design/Manufacturing Information Systems/Databases Computer Architecture/VLSI Internet and Web-Based Systems Computer Graphics and Animation Knowledge-based Systems Computer Modeling/Simulation Mobile Computing Computer Security Multimedia Applications Computers in Education Nanotechnology Computers in Medicine Network Processors Computer Networks Neural Networks/Fuzzy Logic Control Systems Pattern Recognition/Computer Vision Data Communications Robotics Data Mining Scientific Computing Distributed Systems Software Engineering/CASE Embedded Systems Virtual Reality INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS: Papers will be accepted ONLY BY ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION in PDF format. Please include a cover page containing title, author's name(s), address, affiliation, e-mail address, telephone number and topic area. In cases of multiple authors, all correspondence will be sent to the first author unless otherwise requested. All submissions must be uploaded through this web site by JUNE 24, 2009: https://www.reg-site.com/con-reg/default.asp?ConID=84. The submitted manuscript should closely reflect the final paper as it will appear in the proceedings, which will be a maximum of 6 pages (+ 2 pages with additional page fees) in ISCA format.
