The 1st Mexican Workshop on Pattern Recognition (MWPR2009) will be held in Guadalajara, Mexico. MWPR’2009 is organized by CINVESTAV, Unidad Guadalajara, México and the Mexican Association for Computer Vision, Neural Computing and Robotics (MACVNR). MWRP2009 is sponsored by the Computer Science Department of the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE), and the Center for Computing Research of the National Polytechnic Institute (CIC-IPN).

MWPR2009 will be a forum for exchanging scientific results and experiences, as well as sharing new knowledge, and increasing the co-operation between research groups in pattern recognition and related areas, in Mexico.
