Workshop on Advances in Ubiquitous Computing Systems (AUCS 2009) http://arg.vsb.cz/ndt2009/Workshops/AUCS2009.aspx ====================================================================== In conjuction with The 1st International Conference on Networked Digital Technologies (NDT 2009) VSB Technical University of Czech http://arg.vsb.cz/ndt2009/InstructionForAuthor.aspx ===================================================================== Paper submission deadline: February 23, 2009 ===================================================================== This workshop will bring together researchers and industry participants who are involved with the design, development, and implementation of novel applications and frameworks in the domain of Ubiquitous Computing. Ubiquitous Computing is an exciting and booming research field which encompasses a wide range of research topics from Distributed Computing to Artificial Intelligence (AI). Ubiquitous computing is a result of tremendous advances of a wide range of technologies including wireless and sensor networks, mobile and distributed computing, agent technologies, and virtualisation. AUCS 2009 will provide a high profile, leading edge forum for researchers and engineers alike to present state-of-the-art research in the field of Ubiquitous Computing. We welcome original, high-quality research contributions that advance the state-of-the-art in the design, development, deployment, evaluation and understanding of ubiquitous computing systems. TOPICS OF INTEREST ================== Acceptance will be based on quality, relevance, and originality. Both full research reports and work-in-progress reports are welcome. The workshop welcomes papers addressing research and case studies in relation to some of the following topics: * Privacy concerns in Ubiquitous Computing Systems * Trust concerns in Ubiquitous Computing Systems * Tools and techniques for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating ubiquitous computing systems * Challenges in building secure Ubiquitous Computing Systems for health, academic institutions, and other applications * Techniques and challenges in designing, developing and implementing smart spaces WORKSHOP IMPORTANT DATES ========================== Paper submission deadline: February 23, 2009 Notification of acceptance: March 30, 2009 Camera ready papers due: April 13, 2009 Workshop: July 30, 2009 SUBMISSION DETAILS ========================== Paper must be submitted electronically to Fred.Mtenzi@comp.dit.ie. All papers will be fully refereed by at least two referees and before final acceptance all referees comments must be considered. The required formats of the paper are available on the conference website http://arg.vsb.cz/ndt2009/InstructionForAuthor.aspx. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings.
