CALL FOR PAPERS - WSE 2013 15th IEEE International Symposium on Web Systems Evolution (WSE 2013) Eindhoven, The Netherlands -- September 27, 2013 http://www.WebSystemsEvolution.org/2013 Special Theme: Architecture Sponsored by IEEE Computer Society and the Technical Council on Software Engineering Co-located with the 29th IEEE International Conference on Software Maintenance (ICSM 2013) http://icsm2013.tue.nl/ ------------------------------------------------------------ KEY DATES May 17, 2013 Abstracts due May 31, 2013 Papers due Jul 5, 2013 Notifications sent to authors Jul 26, 2013 Camera-ready papers due Sep 27, 2013 Symposium ------------------------------------------------------------ WEB SYSTEMS EVOLUTION Since 1999, the Web Systems Evolution (WSE) series of events has provided a vibrant forum to present original work and promote discussion on topics related to the disciplined evolution of large-scale Web-based systems. WSE attracts researchers and practitioners from different domains, widely ranging from software maintenance and evolution to Web engineering and service-oriented computing. The technical program of WSE 2013 will include invited talks, paper presentations, panel discussions, and working sessions. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOPICS The special theme for WSE 2013 is architecture. Over the last decade, since this theme was covered at WSE 2003 in Amsterdam, there have been profound advances related to the architecture of Web systems, evolving them toward Web 2.0, service orientation, cloud computing, and mobile platforms. We invite novel research on architectural aspects in Web systems evolution. WSE topics of interest also include, but are not limited to the following areas of Web systems requirements, design, development, and evolution: * Architecture, models, patterns, quality attributes, and tradeoffs * Analysis, understanding, reverse engineering, and reengineering * Model-driven development and reengineering * Migration to Web 2.0, Semantic Web, SOA, cloud computing, mobile platforms * Evaluation, quality assessment, empirical studies, and economics * Requirements elicitation and traceability * Self-adaptive, context-aware, and autonomic features * Testing, validation, and verification * Security and privacy * Accessibility, usability, and multilingual concerns * Specialized tools, environments, technologies, and languages ------------------------------------------------------------ SUBMISSION PROCESS WSE invites the submission of full research papers or experience reports (up to ten pages, IEEE CS proceedings style, PDF file). Also solicited are short papers (up to five pages, IEEE CS proceedings style, PDF file), which can introduce novel paradigms and early research results. Abstracts and papers must be submitted online via the EasyChair system. Submitted papers must not be under review or been accepted for another event, journal, or book. https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=wse2013 Accepted papers will be published in the symposium proceedings, available at the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. In addition, authors of the best papers accepted will be invited to produce an extended version for consideration in a journal special issue (to be determined). Proposals for panel discussions or working sessions can be sent as an email inquiry to the Program Chairs. ------------------------------------------------------------ GENERAL CHAIR Damiano Distante Unitelma Sapienza University, Italy damiano.distante@unitelma.it PROGRAM CHAIRS Kenny Wong University of Alberta, Canada kenw@cs.ualberta.ca Kostas Kontogiannis National Technical University of Athens, Greece kkontog@softlab.ece.ntua.gr |
