The Euromicro Conference series on Software Engineering and Advanced Applications (SEAA) is a long-standing international forum for researchers, practitioners from business and industry, and students to present and discuss the latest innovations, trends, experiences, and concerns in the field of Software Engineering and Advanced Applications in information technology for software-intensive systems.

SEAA 2013 will take place in Santander, Spain in September 4-6, 2013. The port city of Santander is the capital of the autonomous community and historical region of Cantabria situated on the north coast of Spain. The region keeps some of the jewels of the country: amazing landscapes and charming beaches, friendly peoples and nature preserves. The city airport, Santander-Parayas (SDR), is connected with the two most important Spanish airports: Madrid-Barajas (MAD) and Barcelona-El Prat (BCN), both of which are well connected with a large number of European cities. SEAA 2013 PhD SYMPOSIUM


The PhD Symposium provides a formal platform for doctoral students to present their work and to obtain expert and peer feedback on the objectives, approaches and preliminary results of their ongoing PhD research. The Symposium will enable PhD students to discuss their work and research plan with senior experts from the SEEA community, will expose them to the latest research in areas related to their PhD thesis, and will offer networking opportunities with peers and with researchers from academia and industry.

SEAA 2013 encourages the submission of technical research papers and experience reports. Papers must contain original unpublished work, describe significant novel contributions, and provide evidence on the validation of results. In particular, reports on industrial applications are welcome.
IEEE Computer Society Press will publish accepted papers in the conference proceedings and in the IEEE Xplore Digital library. Authors of a selection of the accepted papers will be invited to revise and re-submit extended versions of their conference papers for consideration for publication in a Journal (under negotiation).
