/***************************************************************************/ Dear colleagues, We are very pleased to announce the 2nd International Workshop on Quality in Web Engineering (QWE'11), to be held in conjunction with the ICWE Conference in Paphos, Cyprus, Jube 20-24, 2011. ******************************************************************************** CALL FOR PAPERS 2nd International Workshop on Quality in Web Engineering (QWE 2011) July 20-21 2011, Paphos, Cyprus http://gplsi.dlsi.ua.es/congresos/qwe11 Co-located with the 10th International Conference on Web Engineering (ICWE) http://icwe2011.webengineering.org/ ******************************************************************************** IMPORTANT DATES Paper Submission: April 26, 2011 Author Notification: May 26, 2011 Camera-ready Papers: June 10, 2011 Conference & Workshops: July 20-24, 2011 ******************************************************************************** The purpose of QWE is to assess the effectiveness of existing approaches for evaluating and managing the quality of Web resources (e.g., quality models, quality evaluation methods, information quality tools, logging tools, automatic metric capture tools.), with the final objective of allowing researchers and practitioners to discuss recent trends and open issues. Special emphasis will be posed on Web Engineering methods, and the way in which their early artifacts (process and product models) can improve both the quality of the development process and the quality of the final applications and content. This year’s edition will extend its scope to target the broader concept of quality in Web processes, Web artifacts, Web products (applications, services) and Web content. In particular, the workshop will try to encourage the discussion on the current trends in the creation of modern Web applications, commonly referred to as Web 2.0 applications. More information can be found at the Workshop Web site: http://gplsi.dlsi.ua.es/congresos/qwe11. TOPICS OF INTEREST The topics of the workshop will include, but will not be limited to: Quality definition and assessment • Information quality dimensions: estimation of information age, provenance, validity, coverage, and completeness or correctness. • Web sources reputation and trustworthiness • Quality assessment and improvement methods • Comparative analysis of quality metrics • Theoretical/empirical validation of quality metrics • Tools for automatic quality assessment Quality-aware design and development • Quality guidelines, factors, criteria, metrics, patterns, and recommendations • Ergonomic/HCI criteria and principles • Usability and accessibility • Quality of information integration on the Web • Management of quality requirements in Web projects • Role of groups, communities • Integration of quality assessment activities in the development processes • Early quality assessment (e.g., based on models, user interfaces prototypes, etc.) • User Experience • Empirical studies • Industrial experiences Papers focusing on Web 2.0 applications are especially encouraged. However, contributions focusing on more traditional Web domains are also welcome. SUBMISSION The proceedings of ICWE 2011 workshops will be published by Springer in its Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. Paper length is 12 pages. For formatting guidelines and submission instructions please consult the Paper Submission page at http://gplsi.dlsi.ua.es/congresos/qwe11/.
