𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
We cordially invite researchers, academics, psychologists, therapists, practitioners, doctoral candidates and students to submit presentation proposals for the International Scientific Conference “Behavioral Addictions”, taking place on 21–23 August 2026 at Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu – National Louis University in Nowy Sącz, Poland. The conference is organised as part of Summer Camp 2026 by APA & WSB-NLU. Its aim is to create an international platform for presenting research findings, exchanging professional experience and discussing contemporary challenges related to behavioral addictions and mental health. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲 The conference topics include, but are not limited to: Track One: Diagnosis and Mechanisms of Behavioral Addictions · Psychological and neurobiological mechanisms of behavioral addictions · Diagnosis and classification of behavioral addictions · Risk and protective factors · Comorbidity of behavioral addictions and other mental health disorders · Behavioral addictions among children, adolescents and adults · Family, social and cultural determinants of addictive behaviors · Contemporary research methods in the field of behavioral addictions Track Two: Prevention, Therapy and Psychological Support · Prevention of behavioral addictions · Evidence-based therapeutic interventions · Cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic and systemic approaches · Motivational interviewing and relapse prevention · Psychological support for families and significant others · Recovery and rehabilitation processes · Interdisciplinary cooperation in addiction treatment Track Three: Digital Technologies, Education and Social Challenges · Problematic Internet and social media use · Gaming disorder and gambling-related disorders · Problematic smartphone and digital device use · Compulsive shopping and other addictive behaviors · Artificial intelligence, digital platforms and mental wellbeing · Behavioral addictions in educational and professional environments · Prevention programmes for schools, universities and institutions · Social, legal and ethical aspects of behavioral addictions 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 Prof. Rafał Ohme Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu – National Louis University, Poland Prof. Jan Chodkiewicz University of Lodz, Poland Marc Eric S. Authors of accepted proposals will be invited to present their research during the conference.
