The Faculty of Engineering, University of Rijeka, Rijeka, Croatia, is privileged to

person. The conference will be held in Corinthia Baška Sunny Hotel by Valamar,
Baška, Krk Island, Croatia, 27th - 30th September, 2026.
Baška, Krk Island, Croatia, (Visit Baška, at: https://www.visitbaska.hr/en) a popular holiday resort on the magnificent Adriatic Krk Island, is set to host the traditional annual scientific Baška SIF Meeting 2026. Well-known for its natural scenic beauty, rich history and culture, and unforgettable hospitality, Baška has been inspiring and facilitating science, research, international collaboration and understanding since its establishment in times of the Old Roman Empire.
Organised by Faculty of Engineering, University of Rijeka, Rijeka, Croatia, and co-sponsored by Virovitica University of Applied Sciences, Virovitica, Croatia, and Krapina University of Applied Scences, Krapina, Croatia, Baška SIF Meeting 2026 is to convene scientists and researchers, practitioners, developers, operators, policy-makers, regulators, and users interested in utilisation of spatial data for knowledge, technology, business, and capacity development. The Baška SIF Meeting 2026 is to provide the framework for exchange of ideas, presentation of the latest research results,
commercial presentations, the knowledge transfer and sharing, as well as to facilitate international multi-disciplinary scientific, research & development, and commercial projects establishment and collaboration.
Aim and scope
The Baška SIF Meeting 2026 addresses subjects of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) PNT, alternative PNT, applied spatial statistics, spatial uncertainty quantification, statistical/machine machine learning, spatial statistical computing, spatial analysis, navigation methods and algorithms, artificial intelligence (AI), predictive modelling, urban computing, remote sensing, signal processing, individual and group trajectory analysis and modelling, occupancy detection and modelling, spatial phenomena modelling and prediction, spatial and time-series anomaly detection, and their applications in mathematics, computer science, space weather, aviation, air & maritime & road & railways navigation & transport & traffic & logistics, cryptography, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, defence, renewable energy, telecommunications and location-based services, Internet of Things (IoT), smart cities, finance, econometrics, biology, medicine, pharmacy, ecology, agriculture, forestry, sports, forensics, meteorology, archaeology, civil engineering, geodesy, tourism, and the other disciplines, which concern and exploit spatial data/information for spatial phenomena, patterns, and processes description, identification, modelling, and prediction.

No participation/conference fee applies.
Participants interested in presentation of the research results in any of the sessions are kindly invited to prepare their extended abstracts of up to 800 words by 15
th September, 2026, and to send them using the registration tool at: https://indico.vuv.hr/event/32/.
The registration web-site contains the latest revision of the Cal for Participation and the other related documents. Extended abstracts will be reviewed. Authors will be advised on the acceptance decision by 20th July, 2026, and invited to submit the completed manuscripts by 31st October, 2026 (after the conference).
Interested parties are kindly invited to submit their applications for commercial presentations, demonstrations, and exhibitions by e-mail to baskasif2026@gmail.com. The 15-min presentation & demonstration time-slots and exhibition area will be provided at no additional cost.
Venue and accommodation
Baška SIF Meeting 2026 will be held in the conference area of Corinthia Baška Sunny Hotel by Valamar. Bespoke and discounted all-inclusive accommodation arrangements are prepared exclusively for the Baška SIF Meeting 2026 participants at Corinthia Baška Sunny Hotel by Valamar (3-star), which include the B&B accommodation at EUR 125 (single occupancy room) / EUR 74 (double occupancy room) per day, per person, as well as the compulsory Conference Package at EUR 164.00 per person, valid for the whole course of the Baška SIF Meeting 2026, covering services, luncheons, ice-breaking dinner, Baška SIF Meeting Gala Dinner, and coffee breaks.
