The 2nd Brighton Tumour Microenvironment Conference (BTME 2026) will take place on 12–13 October 2026 at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton Waterfront, Brighton, UK, and will be delivered in a hybrid format.
Organised by the University of Brighton and supported by the Sussex Cancer Fund, this conference aims to showcase cutting-edge developments in tumour microenvironment (TME) research. The scientific programme will focus on the mechanisms underpinning TME-driven tumour progression and therapy resistance, bringing together researchers and clinicians working across cancer biology, immunology, and translational science. Key themes include, but are not limited to: - Extracellular matrix (ECM) dynamics - Immune–tumour microenvironment interactions - The perivascular niche - Tumour angiogenesis - Tumour progression and therapy resistance - Emerging therapeutic targets within the TME The conference places strong emphasis on inclusivity and supports Early Career Researchers (ECRs), providing dedicated opportunities to present their work. We invite submissions for oral and poster presentations from researchers in academia, clinical practice, and industry. Interdisciplinary contributions are particularly encouraged. Important Dates: - Conference dates: 12–13 October 2026 - Abstract submission deadline: 20 July 2026 - Notification of acceptance: 31 July 2026 For further information, registration, and submission guidelines, please visit: https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/brightontme2026/ |
