Dear colleagues,

2026 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for Development for Africa (ICT4DA-2026), will take place in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia on 27-29 November 2026. ICT4DA-2026 is the 8th International Conference that aims to bring together researchers, engineers, developers, and practitioners from academia and the industry to present and discuss their research work in the area of ICT for Development. This conference seeks to facilitate the transfer of experience, an adaptation of methods, and where possible, foster collaboration among different groups.

All accepted and presented papers will be submitted to IEEE Xplore for publication.

ICT4DA-2026 will be held in hybrid mode where both in-person and virtual presentations are allowed.

The topics of interest cover all aspects of ICT towards socio-economic development but are not limited to the topics in the tracks below.

Track 3: Wireless Communications & Emerging Networking

Track 4: Computing Systems

Track 5: Security and Privacy

Bahir Dar (in Amharic: ባህር ዳር) is a port on the south shore of the huge inland Lake named Tana. It is usually described as the Ethiopian Riviera. The moniker sounds strange, but when you pull into town and see the wide streets shaded by palm trees and sweeping views across Lake Tana’s shimmering blue waters, you’ll perhaps understand. More than a block back from the shore, however, Bahir Dar is just another busy Ethiopian city.
