September 27–29, 2026
Boulder, Colorado, USA

CALL FOR POSTERS AND SHORT PAPERS

The IEEE International Symposium on Workload Characterization (IISWC) is dedicated to understanding and characterizing workloads that run on all types of computing systems. IISWC 2026 will focus on the characterization and understanding of emerging applications in consumer, commercial, and scientific computing.

TRACKS

IISWC 2026 invites poster abstract submissions in three tracks:

• Short Paper Track — up to 4 pages
• Regular Work-in-Progress (WiP) Track — up to 2 pages
• PhD Forum Track — up to 2 pages

The page limits include references. All submissions must follow the format described in the submission guidelines below.

Submission deadline for all three tracks:
August 3, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Anywhere on Earth (AoE)

TOPICS OF INTEREST

Authors are invited to submit extended poster abstracts presenting ongoing or late-breaking research, tools, or benchmarks in areas including, but not limited to:

• Characterization of applications across different domains
• Characterization of emerging workloads and architectures
• Characterization of operating systems, virtual machines, middleware, and library behavior
• Implications of workloads for system design
• Benchmark methodologies and suites
• Measurement tools and techniques
