The "San Pietro a Majella" Music Conservatory of Naples, through the Department of New Technologies and Musical Languages (Electronic Music area), in collaboration with Napoli Totale Elettronica, is pleased to announce the first edition of the International Conference S.P.aM.E.C.

SPaMEC 2026 interrogates the reticular complexity of Sonic Arts in a context where electroacoustic production transcends the aesthetic object to become a relational process. The conference solicits contributions on co-creation processes capable of affirming a true sonic agency, inviting submissions that exhibit the aesthetics of co-becoming: a system in which technology intervenes as an actant of an expanded relationality.

CONFERENCE THEMATIC AREAS

- Improvisation: Agency, Listening, and Relationship
- Composition: Collective Strategies and Common Languages
- Media: Web Reappropriation and Sonic Communities
- Lutherie: Contemporary Organology and DIT Hardware

We also encourage and welcome contributions related to:

Acoustic Ecology and Field Recording
Spatial Audio and Ambisonics
Artificial Intelligence and Generative Systems
Networked Music Performance and Telematic Practices
Live Coding and Algorithmic Composition
Sound Installations and Site-Specific Interventions
Philosophy of Technology and Media Theory
Artistic Research and Praxis Analysis
