Second International EnviroMining Virtual Conference 2026

Jointly organized by the University of Bologna and the University of Petrosani

Following the success of its inaugural edition, the Second International EnviroMining Virtual Conference 2026 invites researchers, academics, industry professionals and policymakers to submit original contributions addressing the environmental, technological and sustainability challenges of the extractive industries.

EnviroMining 2026 provides an international multidisciplinary platform dedicated to advancing scientific excellence, digital innovation and environmental responsibility in mining and quarrying systems.

Conference Themes

We welcome high-quality submissions related to (but not limited to):

Sustainable mining and resource efficiency
Environmental risk assessment and impact evaluation
Digital transformation in mining (AI, GIS, digital twins, remote sensing)
Decarbonisation strategies and climate resilience
Circular economy in extractive industries
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and carbon footprint
