IEEE 27th International Conference on Information Reuse and Integration for Data Science (IEEE IRI’26)
July 31st - August 2, 2026. Seattle, WA, USA https://ieee-iri.github.io The IRI conference showcases novel and contemporary research addressing all facets of Data and Information Integration and Reuse in today’s era of AI and Data Science – including both Scientific Theory and Technology-based Applications. The IEEE IRI conference and its workshops serve as a forum for researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and government to present, discuss, and exchange ideas that address real-world problems with real-world solutions. Theoretical and applied papers are both welcome. The conference program will feature a regular research paper track, an application/industry paper track, and a poster paper track, and include several plenary speeches from academia, industry, and government as well as specialized workshops. Best Paper Awards: IRI’26 will also select and present a Best Paper Award, a Best Student Paper Award, and a Best Poster Award. The conference includes, but is certainly not limited to: • Information Integration o Multimodal Information Fusion o Information Science & Theory o AI and Security o Symbolic AI o Hallucination Detection and Mitigation in AI o Novel AI applications in Computer Vision, Computer Forensics, Security (fake/forgery detection), Robotics, Recommender Systems, and Biomedical areas, etc. • Information Reuse o Data Lifecycle Reuse Afterlives of data in AI/ML models Preventing model collapse via improved data lineage o Knowledge Graphs (KGs) o Ontologies, variable alignment, contextual metadata o Cross-domain and multilingual metadata systems o Reuse in LLM and AI Training Data o Interoperability and Cross-Disciplinary Reuse Linking datasets from different domains or formats Tools for data transformation and harmonization • Reusable Systems o Acceleration of AI System Reuse and Reuse Efficiency o Brain-Computer Interface: Applications and Algorithms o Reusable AI for Edge and IoT o Reusable AI in Industry Applications o Software and Systems Reuse and Reusability o Software Sustainability and Reuse Economics o Software Maintenance and Life-Cycle Management o Software Reliability, Robustness, and Dependability o System Applications - Autonomous Vehicles, Business, Education, Engineering, Healthcare and Medical Informatics, the Internet of Things, Math, Military, Multimedia, NLP, Robotics, Science, Security, Social Networking, Space, Vision, etc. Important Dates: Workshop proposal submission: February 27, 2026 Workshop acceptance notification: March 10, 2026 Regular full research paper submission: April 1, 2026 Regular application/industry paper submission: April 1, 2026 Short Paper and Poster submission: May 1, 2026 Full paper acceptance notification: May 15, 2026 Poster acceptance notification: May 15, 2026 Short paper acceptance notification: May 25, 2026 Camera ready submission: June 20, 2026 Author registration due: June 20, 2026 Conference events: July 31 – August 2, 2026 Submission Instructions: Papers reporting original and unpublished research results pertaining to the above and related topics are solicited. Full papers (regular research track and application/industry track) must be in English of up to 6 pages (using the IEEE two-column template instructions). Short Research Papers are up to 4 pages. Full paper submissions that demonstrate sufficient research rigor or application novelty, but are not yet ready for acceptance as full research or application papers, may be considered for acceptance as short papers. Posters (including short research highlights and tool demos) are up to 2 pages. Submissions should be double blind, should include only the title and should not include the author(s), affiliation(s), e-mail address(es), tel/fax numbers, and postal address(es) in the paper. The online submission site is https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/IRI2026. The authors need to select if their submission is for the “Full Research Paper" track, “Application/Industry” track, “Short Paper” track, or for the “Poster” track. If web submission is not possible, please contact Dr. Chengcui Zhang (czhang02@uab.edu) for alternate arrangements. Papers will be selected based on their originality, timeliness, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. Paper & poster submission implies the intent of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper&poster at IRI’26 conference, if accepted. |
