Teaching in the engineering curriculum is undergoing a rapid transformation owing to the swift development of novel technologies and paradigms. With a focus on tracking innovative teaching strategies, the IEEE German Education Conference (GECon) endeavors to bring together researchers and educators.
The conference aims to provide a platform for networking with peers in engineering education and expand the current teaching landscape at German academic institutions. Following the success in 2022 - 2025 (proceedings), GECon 2026 aims to further strength collaborations among researchers in teaching. Topics of Interest: Remote instruction: online laboratories, best practices on online courses, massive open online courses. ▶ Curriculum design: Novel activities in academic program design. ▶ Non-traditional teaching in engineering education: Artificial Intelligence, Gamification, Project-based learning. ▶ STEM education initiatives, e.g. K-12 education. ▶ New paradigms and technologies: Society & Industry 5.0, IoT/IoE, 5G/6G Cyber-physical systems, Digital Twins. ▶ Collaborative learning networks between nongovernmental organizations, academia, and industry. ▶ Gamification in e-learning and blended learning. ▶ Challenges of grading in the age of Artificial Intelligence. |
