Smart Cities and Smart Technologies (SmartTek) is a track of the 2025 International Conference on Engineering and Computing Technologies (EngiTek 2025) - https://www.just.edu.jo/Conferences/EngiTek2025. EngiTek 2025 intended to represent a major forum for researchers, academicians, professionals, and students from all over the world to meet in the beautiful and culturally rich city of Irbid in Jordan in the period 29-31 December 2025 (Hybrid Mode). Participants will be able to present their latest research results and exchange new ideas and practical experiences in the most up-to-date areas of this exciting field.
EngiTek 2025 is organized by the Faculty of Engineering (FoE) at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in collaboration with InnovCOM Lab of SupCOM in Tunisia, and is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Jordan Section. Proceedings will be published by IEEEXplore. The types of articles that will be considered for publication include case studies, reviews, as well as theoretical and empirical research. Only papers with top technical quality will be accepted; a fact that is assured by a world-class Technical Program Committee (TPC) and a thorough, blind, and rigorous peer review process. All submitted manuscripts will undergo similarity and AI generation checks before being reviewed. Submitted manuscripts with high similarity and/or Gen-AI scores are rejected right away. Acceptance/rejection decisions of a reviewed manuscript are based mainly on the importance, originality, clarity, and contribution of the submission to knowledge in the conference scope. Abstract and extended summary submissions are not acceptable. Full paper submissions are welcome in the following topics (additional topic suggestions and/or topic modifications are welcome): 5G/6G and Beyond for Smart Cities - IoT and Edge Computing for Urban Efficiency - AI and Big Data Analytics for Urban Planning - Smart Transportation and Vehicular-to-X (V2X) Communication - Energy-Efficient Communication Networks for Sustainability - Cybersecurity and Privacy in Smart Cities - Digital Twins and Smart Infrastructure Monitoring - Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) Communication Networks in Smart Cities - Smart Healthcare and Telemedicine in Urban Areas - Human-Centric Smart Cities: Social and Ethical Aspects. Please submit one or more papers. The paper submission deadline is Tuesday, 30 September 2025. If this is too soon for you, please ask for an extension. Submitted manuscripts should be prepared using the Time New Roman size 10 font, and should be in PDF format, with double columns and single line spacings.
