Objectives
The purpose of the IEEE/ASME International Conference on Advanced Intelligent
Mechatronics (AIM), following the footsteps of the previous nine editions, is to promote activities in various areas of mechatronics by providing a forum for exchange
of ideas, presentation of technical achievements and discussion of future directions. The AIM brings together an international community of experts to discuss
the state-of-the-art, new research results, perspectives of future developments,
and innovative applications relevant to mechatronics, robotics, control, automation, and related areas. The conference is also the fl agship conference of the IEEE/
ASME Transactions on Mechatronics.

Topics (including, but not limited to)
Actuators, Automotive Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Bioengineering, Data
Storage Systems, Electronic Packaging, Fault Diagnosis, Human-Machine, Interfaces, Industry Applications, Information Technology, Intelligent Systems, Machine
Vision, Manufacturing, Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems, Micro/Nano Technology,
Modeling and Design, Motion Vibration and Noise Control, Neural and Fuzzy Control, Motion Control, Optimal and Adaptive Control, Opto-Electronic Systems, Planning and Navigation, Prototyping, Real-Time and Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation, Robotics, Sensors, System Integration, Transportation Systems, and other
applications including new frontier fi elds of Advanced Intelligent Mechatronics.

Paper Submission
Prospective authors are invited to submit full papers including authors’ names, af-
fi liations, mailing address, e-mail account through on-line submission system until
January 15, 2011.
Contributed Papers: Accepted and presented papers will be indexed by EI and
included in IEEE Xplore®

Venue
Budapest with its more than a thousand year history, is one of Europe’s youngest
capitals, as Pest, Buda and Obuda was joined in 1873. The life of the inhabitants
was determined by the river Danube as it provided merchants free crossing and inhabitants shelter among surrounding hills. Budapest is rich in natural beauties and
its architecture is world-famous. Numerous sights of Budapest was given the world
heritage title by the UNESCO (Royal Palace area, Danube Bank View, Andrássy
Avenue). Apart from the buildings, churches, the Danube or the Buda Hills there
are various thermal bath, caves, museums and cultural programs in order to satisfy
visitors of the city.
