ETFA 2011 - Track 2. INDUSTRIAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS Sept.5-9, 2011 Toulouse, France ------------------------------------------------- The goal of the Industrial communication systems track is to bring together academic and industrial experts to present the latest advances and to exchange their experiences and practices. Original contributions to industrial network and system design, analysis and evaluation, as well as application requirements and implementations, are solicited. The topics include, but are not limited to, the following areas: * Fieldbus networks * Industrial Ethernet networks * Automotive and avionic networks * Home and building automation networks * Industrial wireless networks, wireless sensor networks and MIMO wireless networks * Hybrid (wired/wireless) networks * Safety buses and protocols * Middleware for industrial communications * System design, architecture and implementation * IP-based and Web-based communication and applications * Self-configurable systems * Networked control systems * Adaptive middleware for decentralized control * Synchronization mechanisms * Real-time issues * QoS and performance issues * Dependability and fault tolerance aspects * Safety & security in industrial communications * Industrial case studies ------------------------------------------------- Submission of Papers: The working language of the conference is English. Two types of submissions are solicited. Long Papers- limited to 8 double column pages in a font no smaller than 10-points. Work-in-Progress and Industry practice- limited to 4 double column pages in a font no smaller than 10-points. Manuscripts must be submitted electronically in PDF format, according to the instructions contained in the Conference web site ------------------------------------------------- Best Paper Award: Best paper awards in Factory Automation and Emerging Technologies will be presented at the conference banquet dinner. Authors of outstanding papers will be invited to submit a revised version of their papers for publication in a special section in IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics. ------------------------------------------------- Paper Acceptance: Each accepted paper must be presented at the conference by one of the authors. The final manuscript must be accompanied by a registration form and a registration fee payment proof.
