Journal of Fundamenta Informaticae
Special issue on Logic, Algorithms and Non-monotonic Reasoning

The Logic and Computation Mexican Group invites you to participate in the special issue on Logic, Algorithms and Non-monotonic Reasoning of the Journal of Fundamenta Informaticae. The aim of this special issue is to bring together active researchers from different academic institutions who share a common interest in formal areas of Computer Science such as Logic, Formal languages, Algorithms, and Non-Monotonic reasoning. The paper should make very clear how the topic and or results presented are related to Logic.

Authors are invited to submit papers presenting original and unpublished research in all areas related to logic and computation. Suggested topics include, but are not restricted to:
• Logic programming and nonmonotonic reasoning
• Algorithms applied to logic
• Answer Set Programming
• Knowledge representation
• Belief representation
• Paraconsistent logics
• Deduction techniques
• Automated reasoning
• Reasoning about situations and actions
• Planning
• Preferences
• Default and abductive reasoning
• Argumentation

Submission

The paper should be no more than 20 pages long - it could be shorter - and it must be submitted by Junuary 31th, 2011 (a strict deadline). As for the instructions for authors, we recommend that you visit the official website of the Journal of Fundamenta Informaticae, section "About" (http://fi.mimuw.edu.pl/index.php/FI/about), which contains instructions for authors, but please notice that all correspondence will be between authors and the Guest Editors (Mauricio Osorio & Victor Marek), never directly to the Journal.

To submit a paper, the authors should send an email with subject “Submission: LANMR 2011 Special Issue of the Journal of Fundamenta Informaticae" to osoriomauri@gmail.com and marek@cs.uky.edu, with the PDF file of the paper as an attachment, and the following information in plain text in the body of the email:
• Paper title.
• Author names.
• e-mail.
• Abstract.
