The droidcon conference deals with „Android“, the platform for mobile devices which is being developed by the Open Handset Alliance under the guidance of Google. droidcon is developer-driven and independent from interests of hardware and software vendors.

droidcon aims primarily at

* Developers (freelance as well as employed)
* Academic researchers and students who deploy or augment Android in projects
* Android communities
* Companies developing software (applications, tools, frameworks, etc.)
* Operators of mobile networks
* Providers of network based value-added services
* Hardware/components vendors (cell phones, netbooks, tablet PCs, car electronics, etc.)
* Private and professional users of mobile information and communication technology
* Ad agencies seeking to position themselves by offering mobile Android-based services


Those who belong to one of these groups are invited to contribute a proposal for a presentation.
