Call for Contributions -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WOSP-C 2025 10th Workshop on Challenges in Performance Methods for Software Development Co-located with The 16th ACM/SPEC International Conference on Performance Engineering (ICPE 2025) May 5 - 9, 2025 Toronto, Canada Web: https://wosp-c.github.io/wosp-c-25/ Contact: emilio.incerto@imtlucca.it -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT DATES -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Full paper submission: Jan 12, 2025 (AoE) Notification to the authors: Feb 12, 2025 (AoE) SCOPE AND TOPICS ---------------- The Workshop on Challenges in Performance Methods for Software Development (WOSP-C) serves as a forum for discussions on novel and unresolved challenges in the field of software performance engineering. The workshop encompasses topics such as performance assurance processes, the interplay between performance and software architecture, performance testing and debugging, performance monitoring, and autoscaling of modern cloud applications. The primary areas of interest for the workshop remain consistent with previous editions, but this edition scope will also extend to include additional novel topics. We encourage contributions that help to discuss challenges on topics that are relevant in the performance community. In this edition, in particular, we would like to focus on the following: Model-based performance analysis Empirical studies in performance engineering Performance monitoring AIOps for performance assurance Performance testing and debugging Performance engineering in Agile/DevOps software processes Sustainable software engineering Performance engineering for Machine Learning systems Machine learning for performance engineering tasks Industry reports on performance engineering challenges and experience Performance modeling and optimization for microservice and serverless architecture Autoscaling solutions for cloud-based systems Organizing Committee -------------------- - Emilio Incerto, IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca, Italy - Giovanni Quattrocchi, Politecnico di Milano, Italy Submissions ----------- Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished papers that are not being considered in any other venue. Papers should be in the ACM format. They should describe research results, experience, visions or new initiatives. This year, we accept submissions as full (8 pages), Vision or Work-in-progress (4 pages), and Industrial experiences (2 pages) papers. Page limits include references. Papers should be submitted via HotCRP at https://wosp-c2025.hotcrp.com The workshop proceedings are published in ACM Digital Library as the ICPE2025 conference companion proceedings.
