We are pleased to invite submissions for chapters to be included in our upcoming book, Edge AI: Foundations, Techniques and Applications, to be published under the Wiley-Scrivener imprint. This book aims to cover a wide range of topics related to Edge AI, from theoretical foundations to practical implementations.
Scope of the Book: The book will explore fundamental concepts of Edge AI, address challenges and opportunities, and provide insights into deploying, optimizing, and governing Edge AI systems. It will also cover the latest trends and emerging technologies and showcase real-world applications across diverse domains such as healthcare, industrial IoT, smart cities, retail, emergency response systems, and agriculture. Topics of Interest Include, but are not limited to: • Basic Edge AI Concepts (definition, evolution, importance, edge devices and their types, challenges, opportunities) • Architectures, Frameworks, or Tools for Edge AI • Security and Ethical Considerations • Optimizing AI/ML models for edge • Efficient Resource Management for edge • Energy-efficient edge AI • Network optimization for edge AI • Convergence of Edge AI with Modern Technologies (6G networks, personal devices, quantum computing, blockchain, augmented and virtual reality) • Edge AI for Autonomous Systems • Edge AI for Personalized Experiences • Edge AI in Cybersecurity • Case Studies / Applications of Edge AI (Healthcare, Industrial IoT, Smart City, Retail, Emergency Response System, Agriculture) Important Dates: • Abstract Submission (approx. 500 words): 20 September 2024 • Abstract Acceptance: 30 September 2024 • Full Chapter Submission: 20 November 2024 • Chapter Acceptance: 20 December 2024 • Final Chapter Submission: 30 December 2024 Submission Guidelines: Please send your 500-word abstract by the designated deadline to: eafta.wiley@gmail.com We are looking for chapters ranging from 8,000 to 12,000 words. Ensure you list all co-authors with complete contact information and include links to Google Scholar Profiles and CVs. The publisher’s guidelines can be found at https://www.scrivenerpublishing.com/guidelines.php. Note that all chapters will be put through similarity software and must adhere to an overall similarity index of less than 15%, with a maximum of 3% from any single source. Reviewing Policy: The editors will engage two single blind peer-reviewers to assess originality, clarity, usefulness, and adherence to the scope of the project. There are no publishing or processing charges.
