The IEEE Workshop on Statistical Signal Processing is a unique meeting that brings members of the IEEE Signal Processing Society together with researchers from allied fields such as bioinformatics, communication, and statistics. The scope of the workshop includes basic theory, methods and algorithms, and applications in the following areas:
Theoretical topics: - Adaptive and nonlinear signal processing - Blind detection and separation - Broadband beamforming - Cognitive signal processing - Detection and estimation - Distributed signal processing - Monte Carlo methods - Multi-modal techniques - Optimization in signal processing - System identification and calibration - Time-frequency and time-scale analysis Application areas: - Array processing, radar and sonar - Automotive and industrial applications - Bioinformatics and genomic signal processing - Biosignal processing and medical imaging - Communication systems and networks - Information forensics and security - Multi-dimensional signal processing - New methods, directions and applications - Sensor network The conference will contain a number of special sessions organised by internationally recognised experts. The programme will also include presentations of new results in lecture and poster sessions, together with plenary sessions delivered by eminent scientists.
