Lakhtaria, Atmiya Institute of Technology and Science, India With an increasing variety of mobile applications, users can enhance their lives through better communications, data sharing, entertainment, mobile learning, mobile commerce and other mobile services. The large number of mobile users continues to generate a strong demand for more new mobile applications and services. Businesses and network service providers are forced to develop new technologies that provide customers with more reliable, secure, user-friendly and affordable mobile services. The trend also provides new opportunities and challenges to m-commerce vendors, mobile network service providers and mobile content publishers. The increasing popularity of mobile commerce has also raised interest from the research community. This special issue aims to cover the latest developments in mobile communications and internet technologies related to innovation in m-commerce. With this special issue, researchers and practitioners can exchange ideas, challenges, new business models and new solutions. Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit original papers addressing research, theory, business and technical issues, challenges, solutions and technologies related to m-commerce systems and applications.
