Advances in Health Informatics (AHI 2024)
11th- 13th September 2024 | Seville, Spain https://sites.google.com/view/ahi-2024/ Special session at KES2024 Invited Sessions (kesinternational.org) Dear Colleagues, You are cordially invited to submit your original research contributions to Advances in Health Informatics (AHI) at the 29th International Conference on Knowledge Based and Intelligent information and Engineering Systems (KES 2024). This session welcomes algorithmic, methodological or empirical original contributions, and theories relevant to the broader context of health informatics by bringing together practitioners, researchers, and scholars to share examples, use cases, theories and analysis of biomedical data. Submissions can focus on one or more specific aspects of theory, design, development, evaluation, or deployment. AHI 2024 will consist of a keynote talk and oral presentations on the applications and theory of intelligent systems in scientific domains, especially biological, biomedical, genomic, and clinical. We welcome papers exploring various aspects of health informatics, including but not limited to: 1. Interactive health technologies: • information technology for healthcare delivery and management, interactive visualizations for health text data and speech corpora, user interactions with decision-support systems, human factors for electronic health records and other types of clinical applications, interaction design for wearable and ubiquitous health technologies, interaction design of novel multimodal health devices); 2. Analytics: • Novel methods for exploring and analyzing healthcare data (biomedical pattern recognition, biomarker discovery, disease profiling and personalized treatment, natural language processing and text mining, speech processing and recognition with application in health, large language models (LLMs) applied in health, recommender systems, clinical phenotyping, visual analytics, explainability and transparency in health systems, and epidemiological modeling); • Big data related topics (distribution and parallelization of data analytics in healthcare, large scale textual and graph data analytics, optimization of data analytics techniques, and novel statistical approaches to big data analytics in healthcare); • Evaluation and validation of methods in healthcare data analytics; 3. Security and privacy: • Privacy and security in sharing and communicating health care information; • Healthcare data quality and integrity; • Design, development, deployment, and evaluation of high-performing privacy-preserving and secure software or hardware systems Important dates • Submission Deadline: 15 April 2024 • Acceptance Notification: 08 May 2024 • Camera Ready Submission: 03 June 2024 • Publication: Elsevier Procedia Proceedings Submission Submissions are made via the PROSE portal available on the conference website (http://kes2024.kesinternational.org/prose.php). Paper length is 8 to 10 pages (maximum), including references, and should follow the KES format (http://kes2024.kesinternational.org/submission.php). All contributions must be of high quality, original, and must not have been previously published elsewhere or intended for publication elsewhere. All papers will be reviewed by members of the International Programme Committee and depending on their level and attributes, may be selected for oral or poster presentation, and publication in the conference proceedings. Full papers will be reviewed by the IPC and if accepted and presented, they will be published in Elsevier's Procedia Computer Science open access journal, available in ScienceDirect and submitted to be indexed/abstracted in CPCI (ISI conferences and part of Web of Science), Engineering Index, and Scopus. (to be confirmed) Authors of selected papers may be invited to submit extended versions of their papers for publication as full journal papers, for example in the KES Journal or other journals.
