After successful organization of RAFIT2005, RAFIT2007 and RAFIT2009
(National Level Conferences), the Department of Computer Science,
Punjabi University, Patiala feels proud to announce the International
Conference on Information Systems for Indian Languages (ICISIL-2011).
ICISIL aims at gathering International community of researchers and
practitioners to discuss the latest advancements and future directions in
the areas of NLP, OCR, Digital Image Processing and related fields for
the Indian Languages. The conference is sponsored from SAP grant of
UGC. The conference welcomes paper submissions from researchers,
practitioners, academicians and students relating to the following and
related themes but not limited to:
• Localization issues for Indian Languages
• e-Governance and Indian Languages
• Web content accessibility in Indian Languages
• Search Engine and Information Retrieval Systems for Indian Languages
• Online and offline OCR for Indic Scripts
• Handwritten Recognition for Indic Scripts
• Machine Translation and Transliteration for Indian Languages
• TTS and Speech Recognition for Indian languages

Papers are invited in the form of regular manuscripts. All papers must
conform to the submission policy, and describe previously unpublished
original work and should not be under consideration of any conference
or journal. Paper submission details are available on conference

Proceedings:
Conference Proceedings will be published in CCIS Series of Springer, Germany.
Guidelines
Papers must be submitted in the Standard Springer LNCS format as PDF
files. Upon acceptance, at least one of the authors must register for
the conference in order for the paper to be included in the
proceedings.
