The International Journal of Cross-cultural Communication and Media Studies (CMS) is a triannual, open access, peer-reviewed journal. It serves as a platform for interdisciplinary research in the fields of cross-cultural communication, media studies, and their intersection within the social sciences. The journal welcomes participation from international academics, scholars, and researchers of various backgrounds to submit their original contributions, including both theoretical and empirical research. Submissions may include articles, book reviews, systematic reviews, and other scholarly work. The journal covers the flowing topics:
Media Representation and Cultural Identity: gender representation in media; racial and ethnic representation in media; identity formation through media; cultural stereotypes in media; cultural dimensions of media representation; inclusive representation in media; intersectionality in media portrayals; semiotics of visual media. Communication Technologies and Globalization: digital technologies and communication; virtual reality and augmented reality in cross-cultural communication; AI-driven communication platforms; social media and cultural exchange; digital divide and inclusion.
