CALL FOR EXPERIENCE SESSION PAPERS
IEEE/IFIP NOMS 2027 Network Operations and Management Symposium 10–14 May 2027 · Montréal, Canada (https://noms2027.ieee-noms.org/authors/call-experience-session-papers) **Paper submission deadline: November, 23** Submit your paper at: https://jems3.sbc.org.br/noms-es2027 The IEEE/IFIP NOMS 2027 symposium includes an Experience Session program. Experience Sessions complement the Technical Sessions by highlighting practical experiences and lessons learned in applying, implementing, integrating, and deploying network and service management technologies. We invite contributions describing real-world deployment scenarios, testbeds and open-source systems, operational experiences with emerging services and technologies, industrial applications, implementation examples, organizational impact, and business cases. Submissions should explain the practical context, challenges encountered, solutions adopted, and lessons learned. Where applicable, authors are encouraged to report operational results and discuss the limitations and trade-offs of their approach. Experience Sessions are particularly aimed at decision-makers and experts from industry, as well as researchers interested in translating management technologies into practice. Topics of Interest Specific topics include, but are not limited to, the following. Please also refer to the general Call for Technical Papers. Case Studies, Testbeds, and Practical Experiences Practical deployments, testbeds, field trials, and lessons learned Management of emerging networks and services, including 5G and 6G Management of IoT, cyber-physical systems, and mission-critical networks Management of cloud, edge, data center, and industrial networks Smart grids, smart cities, and connected environments Green management, energy efficiency, and sustainable network operations Operating and managing quantum networks AI, Data Analytics, and Measurements in Operations Operational use of AI and machine learning for network and service management Generative AI and AI agents for network operations, including human oversight, validation, and operational safeguards Deployment experiences with AI-assisted assurance, diagnostics, event correlation, and fault management Managing AI infrastructure and services, including GPU-based platforms and distributed inference Network measurements, monitoring tools, operational datasets, and observability Big data collection and analytics for management Experience with cognitive, autonomic, and self-managing networks Network Management and Operational Experience OSS/BSS development and evolution Cybersecurity, resilience, and risk management in operational environments Automation and orchestration in data centers, cloud services, and distributed infrastructure Industrial automation and management, including Industry 5.0 Zero-touch operations and autonomous network management Management of managed services and multi-provider environments Virtualization and automation of network operation centers and service desks Models and Methodologies for Network Operations and Management in Practice Management of AI-enabled networks and services Digital twins and model-driven approaches applied to operational environments Intent-based management, service assurance, and closed-loop automation Management of business aspects, including SLAs, service lifecycle management, and multi-stakeholder environments Practical applications of mathematical logic and automated reasoning Simulation experiments validated against testbeds or operational deployments **Submission Guidelines** Authors are invited to submit their papers as a single PDF file via JEMS: https://jems3.sbc.org.br/noms-es2027 Papers must be written in English and follow the IEEE two-column format. Submissions must not exceed six pages, including references. Accepted papers will be published in the official electronic proceedings of NOMS 2027 in IEEE Xplore, provided one of the authors presents the paper at the symposium (in accordance with the IEEE no-show policy).
