The Interdisciplinary Environmental Association proudly announces the 29th International Interdisciplinary Conference on the Environment, IICE, virtually from October 31st to November 2nd, 2024. This year our conference will delve into the critical theme of climate adaptation. Our sessions will encompass a diverse array of topics crucial to understanding and addressing both regional and global environmental challenges, including:

We warmly welcome abstracts on any environmental issue. Conference discussions will include “Architecture as an Infrastructure: From Ecosystem to Sustainable Development” and “The Built Environment along the Gulf of Mexico: Design for Conservation from expert faculty at the School of Architecture and Design at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Expect Keynotes, Introductory GIS Training, Career Development Workshop, Networking, and Professional Growth Opportunities.

The IICE is a space for scholars and students across the interdisciplinary fields of environmental science and studies to share dynamic research presentations with a global audience and receive quality feedback and insight from distinguished practitioners to concerned citizens. Online presentations are pre-recorded, followed by live Q&A sessions. We're excited to offer a $500.00 Best Student Presentation Award and support by arranging mentorship opportunities for students and early career professionals to connect with distinguished conferencegoers.

How to Participate

To join us, please send your abstract by emailing IICE@ieaonline.org by October 01, 2024. Submission Deadline and Registration is October 15, 2024.

Abstracts should be 400 words or less and include a title, list of authors, and affiliations. Let us know if you have a preferred session based on the provided topics or if you'd like to suggest a new session.

Abstracts can be modified until October 01, 2024. Join us as we listen, learn, and apply new ways of thinking to today’s climate crises and prevalent social challenges. 🌱🌎
