GEM 2023 welcomes submissions from a wide range of research disciplines (from Emerging Technologies to Art and Humanities) in the following formats:
- Full Papers (4-6 pages)
- Short Papers (2-4 pages)
- Late-Breaking Work (1-2 pages + Interactive Demo and/or Video ~5min)
- Demonstrations (1-4 Pages + Interactive Demo and/or Video ~5min)
- Workshop & Tutorial Proposals (2-4 pages)

Key Dates/Deadlines (All submission dates are firm and AOE):

- Paper/Demo✝ Round 2 – Submission Deadline: August 4, 2023
- Workshops and Tutorial Proposals – Submission Deadline: August 31, 2023
- Author Notification of Acceptance: August 25, 2023
- Late-Breaking Work – Submission Deadline: August 31, 2023.
- Camera-Ready Deadline: September 22, 2023

*Round 1 papers accepted to the conference will receive a discount on the paper registration fee.
✝All accepted authors are highly encouraged to produce a video and/or interactive demonstration of their work to showcase at the conference

Publication in the Conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore®, requires authors to register under the “Full” registration category ONLY. Authors with multiple papers may be allowed to register with a reduced additional paper fee if the same author is presenting all papers (maximum of 3 papers). A select few authors with highest reviews may be invited to submit enhanced journal-quality papers to special issues of peer-reviewed journals (e.g. IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Games and IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine).
