Second Announcement and Call for Papers

NEW ABSTRACTS SUBMISSION DEADLINE: October 15th, 2012

Dear Colleague,

We are very pleased to announce the 5th Manufacturing Engineering Society International Conference (MESIC 2013), which will be held in Zaragoza, Spain, in the University of Zaragoza's Paraninfo (http://www.unizar.es/paraninfo.html) on June 26th, 27th and 28th, 2013.

This conference will continue the tasks of the four previous ones and will accomplish one of the objectives of the Manufacturing Engineering Society: the knowledge spreading in the scope of Manufacturing Engineering.

Thereby, the main objective of the Conference is to offer a meeting point for professionals, researchers and educators from industry, research centers and academia to present and discuss recent advances in the field of Manufacturing Engineering. The scope of the conference will cover the following topics for technical papers to be presented in oral and poster sessions:

Moulding processes
Forming processes
Machining processes
Non-traditional manufacturing processes
Welding and joining technologies
Industrial metrology
Manufacturing systems
CAD/CAM/CAE/CIM. Automation of production
Modeling and simulation in manufacturing engineering
Production planning
Rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing
Integrated development of products and processes
Industrial quality and quality management
Teaching and learning in manufacturing engineering

It is our pleasure to invite you and your colleagues to attend the Conference and to present the results of your recent research activities. The attached file includes instructions to authors for abstract redaction and submission.

Key dates:

· Deadline for abstracts: October 15th, 2012
· Notification of abstract acceptance: November 30th, 2012
· Deadline for full papers: January 31st, 2013
· Notification of full paper acceptance: April 10th, 2013
· Early registration deadline: April 30th, 2013
