Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
The emerging network infrastructures such as P2P, mobile and sensor networks, and cloud computing were once lab toys. Nonetheless, they show strong potential to become mainstreams in the foreseeable future. While most network-side issues have been addressed or resolved, the data management issues that arise from the real deployment of these infrastructures are ever increasing. In particular, challenges associated with acquiring, storing, processing, and analyzing large-scale data from these heterogeneous networks call for novel data management techniques. The inherently dynamic nature of these networks further poses new research issues, such as privacy and security. This workshop aims to facilitate the collaboration between researchers in database and networking areas by presenting cutting edge research topics and methodologies.
Topics We encourage papers that propose novel data management techniques for tasks such as: distributed data storage and indexing techniques query processing and optimization on new networks data integration for heterogeneous networks security and privacy issues in emerging networks networking support for data management data management in mobile and sensor networks data management in P2P and cloud computing data management benchmarking for new network infrastructures challenges and visions for new services and applications experience with real-world applications on emerging networks Submissions Authors are invited to submit electronically original, English-language research contributions not concurrently submitted elsewhere. Your submissions should be formatted in Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) format, and not exceeding 12 pages. The style files are available from Springer LNCS site. Please submit your manuscripts in PDF formats to the workshop submission site: https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/DAMEN2011/ Accepted papers will be published in a combined volume of Lecture Notes in Computer Science series published by Springer (pending for formal approval).
