He is Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, President of the International Society for Environmental Information Sciences, and Editor-in-Chief for J. of Environmental Informatics (SCI impact factor 10.22). He holds BSc from Peking University (China), MSc from Simon Fraser University (Canada) and PhD from McMaster University (Canada). He produced over 1000 journal papers (h-index 80 in Science Citation Index under Web of Science). He supervised over 100 Master/PhD students (over 40 of them are teaching at universities in Canada, USA, UK, Singapore, Hongkong and China). His pioneering work in environmental risk management has been recognized as a significant innovation, and has influenced government and business approaches for tackling environmental challenges and formulating related policies. Prof. Yongping Li, Beijing Normal University, China Dr. Yongping Li receives her MSc and PhD Degrees from the University of Regina, Canada. Currently, she is a Changjiang Scholar Professor at Beijing Normal University, China. Her research interests involve in energy and environmental systems analysis, environmental pollution control, water resources management, and decision making under uncertainty. Dr. Li has led or involved in over 60 energy- and environment-related research projects supported by industrial, governmental and international organizations. She has produced 400 peer-refereed international journal papers (with a SCI-based H-index of 45 in Science Citation Index under Thomson Reuters’ Web of Science). She has been continuously selected as a highly cited scholar in the field of “Environmental Science” (by Elsevier) since 2013. She was recently included in Stanford University’s 2020 World Ranking for the world’s top 2 per cent of most-cited scientists in the field of Environmental Engineering. Previously, Dr. Li was received a number of awards such as Distinguished Young Scientist Award, New Century Excellent Talents in University, the National Natural Science Funds for Distinguished Young Scholar in 2012, the National Award for Youth in Science and Technology, and the National Award for Youth Female Scientist. Prof. Masahiko Isobe, Kochi University of Technology, Japan Former President of Kochi University of Technology, Former Vice President of The University of Tokyo, Former President of Japan Society of Civil Engineering. Prof. Isobe is an internationally well-established leading scientist in coastal engineering and coastal water environment. He has initialized many research projects, which resulted in a massive number of academic publications. After the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred in 2011, Prof. Isobe made great contribution to the new standards for tsunami countermeasures in Japan. Dr. Anupam Khajuria, United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD), Nagoya, Japan Dr. Anupam Khajuria joined United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD), Nagoya, Japan in 2014 as a Researcher. Earlier, she was awarded the MEXT Japanese Government scholarship and received her Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering from Osaka University, Japan in the year 2010. She then worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India, at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (TIT), Tokyo, Japan and at the Institute for Environmental Strategies (IGES), Japan. Dr. Anupam Khajuria has delivered a number of invited and keynote talks in various international conferences and has published several research papers in the field of environmental engineering. She also organizes several international Forums/Conferences, most markedly related to environmental issues and underline with various SDGs. Her research interest is prominently focused on 3R (reduce-reuse-recycle) and circular economy and climate change, where she investigates how resource efficient policies and strategies contribute towards new global agendas, such as the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the New Urban Agenda and the Paris Agreement among other global agendas. Her recent research interests also include new and frontier technologies, such as the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), Industry 4.0, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), to make cities clean, sustainable and resilient. Furthermore, she also conducts research on how to create synergies in achieving SDGs on climate change through circular economy and green energy to achieve sustainable and circular society.
