Greetings!
The Society for Queer Asian Studies (SQAS) plans to sponsor a panel focused on trans and/or queer Asian themes at the 2023 AAS-in-Asia Conference — Asia in Motion: Memory, Preservation and Documentation — June 24-27 at Kyungpook National University in Daegu, South Korea — hosted by the Association for Asian Studies (AAS) and the Institute of Humanities Studies. To apply for sponsorship, please submit a proposal (a single document with a panel abstract plus individual paper abstracts following conference requirements) for your complete panel to (queerasianstudies@gmail.com). Preference is given to panels with diversity in gender, location, rank, affiliation, and inclusion of trans, non-white, non-western, non-East Asian perspectives. Submissions will be assessed based on originality of topic and method.
