SCOPE
________________________________________________________________________________________ SSCt2023 is the International Conference on Sustainable Smart Cities and Territories, an open symposium which brings together researchers and developers from academia and industry to present and discuss the latest scientific and technical advances in the fields of Smart Cities and Smart Territories. It will promote an environment for discussion on how techniques, methods, and tools help system designers to accomplish the transition from the current cities towards those we need in a changing world. Brand new ideas will be greatly appreciated as well as relevant revisions and actualizations of previously presented work, project summaries and PhD thesis. The SSCt2023 program will include keynote addresses, a main technical track, a workshop program and doctoral consortium. TOPICS ________________________________________________________________________________________ The topics of interest for the SSCt2023 conference include, but are not limited to, - Smart cities and smart territories successful cases and challenges; - Smart homes and smart buildings; - Smart infrastructures (network, 5G, grids, lighting, water and waste); - Smart urban mobility and intelligent transportation systems; - Smart health and emergency management (epidemy control); - Smart environments; - Smart travel and smart tourism; - Smart manufacturing and smart logistics; - New retail and smart commerce - Smart urban governance; - Eco-urbanism, urban resilience and climate change mitigation and adaptation; - Energy and climate policy; - Intelligent traffic control; - Crowd behaviour capturing and modelling and crowd management; - Human–machine interactions; - Artificial intelligence and machine learning; - Open data and big data analytics; - Data security and safety, blockchain; - Sensor‐driven analytics and services; - Context-aware systems. LIST OF WORKSHOPS ________________________________________________________________________________________ CCTE: International Workshop on Climate Change, Tourism and Education ISAIAS: International Workshop on Intelligent Systems Applied In Adaptive Smart Areas DOCTORAL CONSORTIUM ________________________________________________________________________________________ The SSCt2023 Doctoral Consortium (DC) will take place as part of SSCt2023 virtually. It is designed to nurture PhD candidates by providing them with opportunities to explore and obtain mutual feedback on their research, future work plans, and career objectives with senior researchers, practitioners, and peers. We invite submissions from students, as described below. Selected students will be asked to prepare and present an oral presentation at the DC. Additional social arrangements will be arranged to encourage further conversations with mentors and fellow students, in a teleconference setting. We encourage participation from all PhD students, whether at the start or towards the end of their PhD candidacy. Participants need to clearly indicate their stage of PhD research. Those who are at the early to midpoint stage of their candidacy and who have not yet received substantial feedback from the greater research community will be paired with a mentor who will advise them on their research trajectory, writing and presentation. Those who are at a later stage in their research will have an opportunity to present their PhD work to date to a group of senior researchers for feedback and advice. For this session, Master’s students are also invited to present ongoing or completed Master’s projects, which must be prepared with the LNNS template. If approved, they could be published in the Proceedings, in any case, they must be submitted in English and a maximum of 6 pages. PUBLICATION ________________________________________________________________________________________ Accepted papers will be included in SSCt2023 Proceedings. At least one of the authors will be required to register and attend the symposium to present the paper in order to include it in the conference proceedings. All accepted papers will be published by LNNS Springer Verlag. ** Indexing: The books of this series are submitted to ISI Proceedings, EI-Compendex, DBLP, SCOPUS, Google Scholar and Springerlink ** COMMITTEE ________________________________________________________________________________________ Local Committee Luis Fernando Castillo Ossa (Chair), Universidad de Caldas, Universidad Nacional de Colombia Sede Manizales (Colombia) Marcelo López Trujillo (Industrial Chair), Universidad de Caldas (Colombia) Sandra Victoria Hurtado, Universidad de Caldas (Colombia) Oscar Hernán Franco , Universidad de Caldas (Colombia) Gustavo Isaza, Universidad de Caldas (Colombia) Jeferson Arango Lopez, Universidad de Caldas (Colombia) Partners Committee Diego Fernando Ceballos (People Contact), Manizales (Colombia) Jorge Alberto Jaramillo Garzon, BIOS Juan Felipe Jaramillo, Secretaria TIC y Competitividad - Alcaldía de Manizales (Colombia) Nicolas Llano, Representante Secretaría De Desarrollo, Empleo e innovación - Gobernación de Caldas (Colombia) Santiago Ruiz Herrera, Decano de la Facultad de Ingeniería y Arquitectura Universidad Nacional de Colombia Sede Manizales (Colombia) Omar Danilo Castrillón, Departamento Ingeniería Industrial UNAL Sede Manizales (Colombia) Oscar Cardona, Universidad Autónoma de Manizales (Colombia) Santiago Murillo, Universidad Autónoma de Manizales (Colombia) Luis Carlos Correa, Universidad de Manizales (Colombia) Johana Yepez, Secretaria TIC y Competitividad - Alcaldía de Manizales (Colombia) Maria Idally Buitrago, Cámara y Comercio de Manizales (Colombia) Workshop Chairs Fernando de la Prieta, University of Salamanca (Spain) Oscar Hernán Franco, Universidad de Caldas (Colombia) Saber Trabelsi, Science Program, Texas A&M University (Qatar) Doctoral Consortium Chairs Sara Rodríguez, University of Salamanca (Spain) Gustavo Adolfo Isaza, Universidad de Caldas (Colombia) Omar Danilo Castrillón, Universidad Nacional de Colombia Sede Manizales (Colombia) Program Committee Chairs Juan Manuel Corchado (Co-Chair), University of Salamanca (Spain) Sigeru Omatu (Co-Chair), Hiroshima University (Japan) FORMAT ________________________________________________________________________________________ Authors should consult Springer’s authors’ guidelines and use their proceedings templates, either for LaTeX or for Word, for the preparation of their papers.
