Call For Papers

The IEEE Federated Systems & Testbeds Workshop on 5G and Beyond (FSW5G 2022)
5G and beyond networks will dramatically improve communications, latency, and enable a wide range of interactive and collaborative applications that are otherwise not possible. The adoption of 5G and beyond networks paves the way for federated distributed platforms to provide critical end-to-end services, aiding in delivering innovative and transformative services to the Global Community. Adoption and development of such federated systems are subject to addressing several critical problems, including systems discovery, security issues, and 5G network slicing, to name a few.

The IEEE Federated Systems & Testbeds Workshop on 5G and Beyond (FSW5G) will provide a high-profile, leading-edge forum for researchers and practitioners to present technical innovations, experimental results, theoretical studies, conceptual studies, and surveys on Federated System in 5G and Beyond. The goal of this workshop is to provide a forum for an interactive dialog between researchers in scientific domains and technologists and practitioners in the industry to discuss, promote, and demonstrate how recent developments in artificial intelligence, federated systems, and 5G (and beyond) systems can be used to integrate and explore various scientific and technological resources to solve critical world problems. We welcome original articles that have not published before on the following list of topics (not limited to):
1. System federation design, setup, and management
2. Autonomic management and orchestration for 5G Systems Federation
3. Autonomic/Autonomous Networks (ANs) Federation Techniques
4. Federation Techniques as Enablers for Agile Service Innovation and Delivery across multiple Domains
5. Federated Systems Security Architectures and Controls
6. Federated Testbeds for 5G and Beyond, design, analysis, and evaluation
7. Blockchain and Non-Fungible Token (NFT) based techniques to control and manage 5G networks and services.
8. 5G and beyond Federated Testbeds Standardization Activities
9. Experiments, testbeds, and prototyping systems for security.
10. Protocols and APIs for Federated Autonomic Management & Control (AMC) operations across network domains
11. Federation of Knowledge Planes (KPs) Platforms
12. Network slicing security in 5G systems.
13. Trusted computing for 5G systems.
14. Interdisciplinary approaches for securing 5G systems.
15. 5G Applications Design and Performance Evaluation

PAPER
Full papers (a maximum of 6 pages in length) and posters (2 pages) are invited on a wide variety of topics relating to 5G and beyond as indicated above. Both full and poster must follow the official IEEE proceedings format. Both kinds of papers should be submitted via the Web submission form, available here. All manuscripts will be reviewed and judged on merits including originality, significance, interest, correctness, clarity, and relevance to the broader community. Papers are strongly encouraged to report experiences, measurements, and user studies, and to provide an appropriate quantitative evaluation.
