Call For Papers

The Texas Wesleyan Law Review is pleased to host the 2011 Energy Symposium on Thursday, March 3rd and Friday, March 4th. This will mark the third year that the Texas Wesleyan Law Review has hosted an energy-related conference. The Symposium will focus on a wide array of energy-related issues examining and exploring topics from the perspectives of the operator, royalty owner, surface owner, regulator, and municipality. Topics may include environmental, regulatory, and leasing issues, as well as operator duties, royalty calculation and payment, transportation and marketing issues, or any other issues of import to oil and gas practitioners and professionals. The Symposium will also include caselaw updates from the Second Court of Appeals and the Texas Supreme Court. The Symposium is targeted to legal practitioners, landmen, and other energy professionals.

A resume or curriculum vitae must also be submitted along with the abstract. Authors and presenters will be informed by December 1, 2010, of the outcome of the initial review process.
