In 2022, the 14th Latin-American Conference on Communications (LATINCOM) returns to Brazil, to the wonderful city of Rio de Janeiro. Rio de Janeiro is harmonically shaped by mountains and sea, lying in the narrow alluvial plain between Guanabara Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Its fantastic landscape comprises a series of green mountains cascading down to the coast, where visitors have the privilege to stare at iconic natural beauties, the Sugar Loaf (Pão de Açúcar) and Christ the Redeemer (Corcovado), from the emblematic beaches of Copacabana, Leblon, and Ipanema. Rio de Janeiro is also famous for its cultural miscegenation, remarkable architecture, exciting history, all-year-long hot weather, and hospitable people.
IEEE LATINCOM 2022 will be held from 30 November to 2 December 2022. The most important conference on communications in Latin America is held annually and attracts submissions and participants from all around the globe. This 3-day conference is known for bringing together audiences from both industry and academia to learn about the latest research and innovations in communications and networking technology, share ideas and best practices, and collaborate on future projects. IEEE LATINCOM 2022 is organized by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Latin America Region, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). Submission Format (papers) Paper must be written in English, unpublished and not being considered in other conferences or journals. Full papers must be formatted as the standard IEEE double-column conference template and submitted in PDF on JEMS. Maximum 6 pages are allowed for each paper, including all illustrations and references. Submission Format (tutorials) A tutorial proposal must be written in English and submitted in PDF format, containing the following information: – Title of the tutorial; – Abstract, objectives and motivation; – Timeliness and intended audience; – Name, affiliation, and a short biography of each tutorial speaker; – A description of the technical issues that the tutorial will address, emphasizing its timeliness; – An outline of the tutorial content, including its tentative schedule. Please take into consideration that tutorials this year will happen in a virtual/online format; – If appropriate, a description of the past/relevant experience of the speaker on the topic of the tutorial; – A description of previous tutorial experience of the speaker(s), and past versions of the tutorial. Tutorial proposals must be formatted as the standard IEEE double-column conference template and submitted in PDF on JEMS.
