Returning for its eighth year, CADE will return to Venice, Italy in a blended format, allowing participants to attend physically or virtually. CADE aims to provide opportunities for academics and practitioners to share the latest research and practice on topics related to the research themes of Resilience, Sustainability, Responsibility, and Identity. Participants will be able to present in an environment where the emphasis is on discussion and development of the work presented. There are awards for best paper and best developmental paper with the latter being for ECRs and PhD students.

The proceedings will be indexed through the major databases Scopus (Elsevier); Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics); ProQuest; NLM (US National Library of Medicine); and CrossRef. We do not require empirical work, and welcome abstracts exploring conceptual ideas, and we are actively seeking work in the developmental stages of research. The conference will have a blended format, with participants being able to present and attend in-person or virtually to accommodate potential ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. The programme is designed around a number of general sessions and track specific sessions. Each session will last up to two hours, with three papers per session and a closing Q&A with the authors. Presentations are synchronous. Authors are expected to submit their slides one week in advance of the conference to allow for their upload prior to the conference. Presentations are to be 20 minutes long, with all participants from each session joining in a 30-40 minute Q&A at the end of the session. We intend to identify themes amongst submissions and group them into specific sessions to foster discussion from across the presentations during the Q&A. It is planned to run the following three special sessions, see the website: Delivering Digitally Enhanced Advanced Services (DEAS) outside manufacturing Blockchain futures: theoretical insights and practical applications Overcoming digitalisation challenges in the automotive and transportation domains |
